If you are not familiar with the process, please read the information below carefully.

The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads introduced an Impromptu Rides facility within the Special Interest Vehicle Scheme (SIVS) in 2018. The key conditions for Impromptu Rides are; you must be a financial Manx Club Australia member, you must register the event in advance and other club members must be invited.

The SIVS Conditions and Restrictions are described in the Special Interest Vehicle Concession Scheme guide available here.

Impromptu events are only applicable to Club (SIVS) registered Vehicles.

Manx Club Implementation of QLD Impromptu Events

 

Manx Club Australia has implemented two methods of creating an Impromptu Event within the SIVS rules.

 

1. Facebook

To enable Impromptu events for its club members, Manx Club has set up a closed Facebook Group called Manxclub Australia Impromptu Events Page

 This is where all Facebook-based Impromptu Rides must be registered prior to undertaking a non-gazetted ride event. Email admin@manxclub.org.au if you are not registered

You can now also create an Impromptu Event directly on the Events page of the website.
